Plextor Europe updates firmware for the PX-W4012TA

adyo used our newssubmit to tell us that the Plextor website reports that there is a new firmware version available for the PX-W4012TA:


Fixed Bugs:

  • Hang-up during initialisation of scratched CD-R Discs

    Added:

  • Support for newer CD-R media (Mitsui Chemical 40X)
  • Support for newer HS CD-RW media (Mitsubishi Chemical 12X)

    Improvements:

  • Write performance for various discs, types and speeds
