Review added: Plextor PlexWriter 40/12/40A

We know, we are late with this review, but nevertheless, it's here. We have just wrapped up the review of the PlexWriter 40/12/40A. While Plextor has always been the number one when it comes to quality and performance a lot of you have probably noticed also other companies have improved their drives.

So the question is, can this Plextor drive still compete, or even better does it still beat the competition ? Here is a part of our review:

Part of conclusion:

When you are planning to buy this drive you won't be dissapointed. Plextor has done it again by combining all those beautiful tweaks and extra's with a very reliable performance and excellent service and support.

Take a look at Plextools and you see why Plextor is different from the rest...

As you see, our reviewer wasn't dissapointed by the PlexWriter 40/12/40A, but you might want to see for yourself if the writes does what you expect it do. So read the entire review here.

The review looses 1 point for a rather obvious error: On page: http://www.cdfreaks.com/document.php3?Doc=74&Page=12 I quote: "The result shows that the PX-W4012TA initially begins the writing at 16x whereas it changes speeds after 6 minutes to 24x and after 16min to 32x an finally after 58min to 40x. The overall average writing speed is 29.88x." The part: "initially begins the writing at 16x" is wrong. If you look at the picture it starts at 20x!! Please rectify.
