Ridata launches 32GB 233x CompactFlash cards

With the camera manufacturers pushing the Megapixel count higher with each new model and introducing memory gobbling features such as more rapid continuous shooting and high definition video capturing, flash memory cards need to keep up also.  Advanced Media, which is behind the popular Ridata brand, has just unveiled its ultra-high capacity 32GB CompactFlash card with 233x write speed, according to a press release we received.  This enables the photographer to take more photos in succession, while also reducing the number of cards the photographer needs to carry and change.

This card is PC card Standard, PC card ATA compatible and features a true IDE mode supporting up to Ultra DMA mode 4, making it compatible with most devices and operating systems, including host ATA disk I/O BIOS support.  Its read and write speeds are 233x (~35MB/s) and 80x (~12MB/s) respectively, although actual speeds may vary depending on the equipment.  To cope with a wide range of environments a user may be exposed to, the card will handle temperature ranges from below freezing to high temperatures, although more precise temperature ranges are not given.

This 32GB 233x card is Ritek's latest addition to its 233x Lightning series, which currently covers CompactFlash cards ranging from 2GB to 16GB.  It has a suggested retail price of $199.99 and is now available for shipping.
