Taiwan based media maker, Ritek, has obtained certification for blank 2x HD DVD-R media.  Ritek has also obtained certification for blank BD (Blu-ray Disc)-R discs.  CMC Magnetics received certification earlier this year in April and MKM, Matsushita Electronics and TDK had already obtained their certification for BD-R discs as well. 

In the past, Ritek was a rather reliable manufacturer of DVD media and was considered by many users here to be a standard.  Within the last few years, with the very poor reliability of their G05 media, they have fallen out of favor.
