Roxio posts loss, sees return to profits - Easy Profit Creator?

Roxio, the developers of Easy CD Creator and WinOnCD/DVD which makes CD-burning software, posted a third quarter net loss, but forecast a return to profitability in the fourth quarter.
The company has recently aquired the assets of filesharing network Napster and is involved in legal filesharing websites such as Pressplay.

The company also made a burning engine that is build in Windows XP. In the OEM market their market presence has mainly been taken by German company Ahead that developed Nero Burning ROM.

Roxio, which recently bought patents and intellectual property of Napster (news - web sites) for $5 million, posted a third-quarter net loss of $9.2 million or 47 cents a diluted share, including charges for amortization of intangible assets, compared with net income of $0.6 million, or 4 cents a year earlier.

Net revenue totaled $26.4 million versus $36.2 million a year earlier. Pro forma net loss was $7.4 million, or 38 cents per share, including about 21 cents related to the settlement of a lawsuit by former shareholders of Incat Systems.

iamrocketEasy Profit Creator! Thats a good one! Its amazing they can still be so positive when they have such loser products, but I suppose people will continue to buy it as long as MS continues to shove it down their throats.

Ok this doesn't make any sense. How many companies have bought napster's assets now? I know I've heard of other companies buying napster's assets. Nobody ever does anything with them, who the hell would want them.

And another thought, if I buy their assets and then sell them to someone else, they're not really napster assets anymore. They were my assets. Oh well never mind. I just get tired of hearing about companies buying napster. Who cares.

they make losses, because they push the sales of easy cd creator, which is the worst programme ever created and rather neglect the sales of winoncd, because they are afraid that this prog could damage the sales of easy cd creator. instead they should dump their stupid creator altogether and concentrate on sales of winoncd
