Rumours indicate no HD DVD player inside Xbox

Not so long ago there were rumours about a possible 'remake' of the Xbox 360 with the inclusion of a HD DVD player. After Warner declared that they will exclusively produce for Blu-ray, problems seem to occur for HD DVD and a winner is in sight.

It was told that Bill Gates was planning to announce his back-up for HD DVD at this week's CES in Las Vegas. As events stand now Microsoft made a bad choice, and some even say that they should swallow the embarassment. This could be an option, but what's next?

Will Microsoft change to Blu-ray, which will mean the end of HD DVD, or will they continue to back HD DVD? What will Microsoft do?

Will keep backing HD DVD until all the partners will eventually declare its death during an official common conference... Now the tricky part: do we ever see such an official announcement in the near future? I really doubt so...

just goes to show you, no matter how many rumours that publications (including this one) post about something, and no matter how much they'd like to think they're important, this type of "reporting" has absolutely no bearing on reality. puke

Microsoft wont put a HD drive inthe 360 till a winner is declared. Which mean it wont have one. The next Xbox will have though.
