To make Blu-ray a success there are many steps to take. Of course adoption by consumers is key and for that to happen they have to understand the benefits, the players have to be affordable and content has to be available. For the last thing studio support is required but of course also production lines need to be in place.
Blu-ray line manufacturer Singulus has announced today that it has received numerous orders from Blu-ray Disc manufacturer in Europe, Aisa and also the first order from the United States. The company even upped their expectations from selling 20 Blu-ray machines to 30 of them in 2008.
The company announced this on the MediaTech Expo 2008, the largest trade fair for the optical disc industry worldwide, which is currently taking place in Frankfurt, which is predominantly devoted to Blu-ray. There also the positive expectations for Blu-ray were underlined by the leading market research institutes.
