Sandisk has announced the Sansa TakeTV. The Sansa TakeTV is an USB stick with 8 GB of flash memory combined with a video dock that is attached to the TV. Users can browse the memory stick with a wireless remote control and everything copied to this disk is automatically recognized and listed on the TV. Movie clips can be in many formats including Xvid and DivX.
The device is compatible with Windows Vista and XP and includes access to a beta Fanfare service which lets users download full-lenght movies and TV shows, according to Electronista.
As the details were leaked from a Buy.com page and a forum not many more details are available such as the price or the shipping date. However, the mention of capacity suggests that SanDisk may offer storage levels beyond 8GB, either on launch or in the near future.
