Sanyo announces new 40/12/40 USB 2.0 CD-RW drive

While surfing the internet I saw that our friends from CDRLabs.com have posted some news about Sanyo's new USB 2.0 CD-RW drive: the CRD-BP1500U40X:


CRD-BP1500U40X is a CD-RW drive for alternative use for an half height internal type and an external type with USB 2.0 interface. It enables the high speed recording for 640MB data.

  • Buffer size 4MB
  • Half-height PC Built-in Type
  • Access Time 130 msec (CD-ROM/R)

  • BURN-Proof Technology implemented (this technology protects from Buffer Under Run Error.)
  • The adoption of a FlexSS-BP technology which automatically selects the optimum recording speed for each disc.
  • The adoption of a Shock-BP technology which detects shock and prevents a writing mistake.
  • Safe-BP technology which detects recording error due to irregular mechanical characteristics.
