The new Sanyo Xacti HD700 camcorder is a lighter version of the HD2 model, but has the same ability to record high-definition content. This means that the HD700 is lighter, but does exactly the same thing.

Several features give this smaller 'remake' some glance. A 'face chaser' isolates a face after first automatically detecting it. A 2.7 inch LCD display flips out and rotates up to 285 degrees.

The Sanyo Xacti HD700 records video as Mpeg4 to an SD memory card since there is no internal memory provided. The camcorders come in different colors and is priced for 349 English Pounds.
