HP and Sony team up to offer a DVD video service. It allows customers to order Sony Pictures Home Entertainment movies and TV shows on discs which can be individually printed for each order.

Customers order the discs through retailers. The retailers will be able to order the discs on demand rather than order them ahead of time.

It's not yet known which shows and movies are included, but Sony has promised to include both foreign and independent films. It will be a mix of foreign cinema, regional tv and older movies.
