Sony has completed its BRAVIA-range with a new Home Theater Projector. The VPL-VW40 is offered in a lower price category than we know from BRAVIA projectors. Sony's newest release can easily create an original cinematic viewing experience by offering both 1080p Full HD and Sony SXRD technology.

SXRD technology is the driving engine since it delivers visibly superior Full HD picture. Silicon X-tal Reflective Display (SXRD) delivers the full 1920x1080 resolution and cinematic clarity through its super-fine panel micro-architecture. The VPL-VW40 can handle very high contrast ratios of up to 15000:1. Main reason for this is the Sony Advanced Iris 2.

The Iris responds automatically to the amount of lightning in each scene. Dark scenes will be 'upgraded' because the Iris brings back image that is lost in the shadows. Sony's projector features different technologies that need to bring back an original cinematic viewing experience.    

Definetly a must for everybody that wants to enjoy the best in Home Entertainment, if you don't hate Sony, that is...
