Sony denies PS3 price drop rumors

Web rumors indicate a price drop of Sony's Playstation 3 to $299. Sony stated that those rumors are all based on speculation. 'We have no plans for any pricing anouncements'.
The rumors surfaced on Monday... It seems that these rumors came from several posters at SlickDeals.net. These posts were later clarified as vague.
