Sony launches HDTV video sharing service

Sony has just announced that they will begin offering the HDTV video sharing service eyeVio HD Pro in Japan. Sony has run the service since April last year, but now it will also be available on your TV if you've a PlayStation 3 or BRX-NT1 network TV box.

In both cases you can simply connect the box or console to your TV, says Sony. After this you can watch the uploaded videos and you can post HDTV video clips after applying for an account on the website. Members have the right to upload HD videos up to 500MB each. Besides this a member can invite five other to use the service, meaning you can split the costs.

This is definitely a nice sharing service, especially for those already owning the PS3.
