Sun Microsystems announces BDLive.com support

According to Engadget we can expect Sun Microsystems to openly illustrate its love for BD Live at today's JavaOne Conference in San Fransisco. The company will introduce the BDLive.com developers disc, which will offer developers and manufacturers an "advanced network service focused on improving the overall BD Live user experience".

BDLive.com is expected to offer a BD Live development framework through the web, which should help those eager learners with expanding their knowledge. At Engadget they seem to know a little more, since they believe that the website will offer "time and money-saving access to the BD Live network services including registration, Blu-ray home-theater-to-web connectivity, and easy Blu-ray disc content updating."

Tomorrow we will know more...

I wonder how many developers figure that they can actually make any money developing Java applications for so small of an audience as Blu-Ray disk watchers?
