Super Bowl will drive HDTV sales up to 2 million
After news about the Olympics not driving sales of TVs up, news about the Super Bowl shows the opposite. Enjoying sports on the best screen is a man's dream, and it all looks like the American man goes for this quicker than the local Chinese guy.
A third annual survey of 'Sports and Technology' conducted by the Consumer Electronics Association (CEA) and the Sports Video Group (SVG) show a jump of approximately 2.4 million extra HDTV units before the Super Bowl.
Secondly the study showed that the experience won't stop after the game. Fifty-seven percent of the HDTV owners say that they will go online to experience more and review those memorable moments.
