That's Write! is launching the Worlds First 99 minutes CD-Recordable disc. Now you can copy every game, CD, software, without worrying about if it fits or not. Our Asian-market is being supplied as of today, then followed by Europe and America.
--- P.S.: Once in a german magazine there was an info, that TRAXDATA announced recorders and media for 99 min. recordables but i don't find any other info about it. |

With the release of 99 minute CDR's it just means that the games will get larger and they will still find a way to give us a hard time backing up our CD's.

With the latest firmware, the Philips 3610 can burn CD's up to 85 minutes.

Guys?!? How about the yellow/red book standard? As far as i know this 99 minutes will go above the standard thus u need a new kind of drive

About the Traxdata media: Traxdata will cooperate with Ritek to produce them. Teac drives are supposed to write them with no problem.
I remember a link for a German company which will distribute them (in Germany and nearby countries of course) posted somewhere some time ago.

Sorry to dissapoint you, but the Dreamcast CD´s can cantain about 1GB.
The 99Min CD-R Media should be able to contain about 859MB is my calculations are correct.

Dreamcast is GD-ROm so if the 99min cdr would able to contain 1gb it still would not be possible.

Some GD roms may not fill up the entire GD.. 859MB is a good proportion of the disc, so unless it fills the whole thing, you should be fine.
By the way, old burners can still burn onto 80 min CDR even though 80 mins were unthought of at the time.

thats write sucks so baddly.
I mean if it was a decent cdr manufacturer that makes the new 99 mins cds i would be cool with that but evrybody knows if you buy a 10-pack thats write cdr you will have to trow away 8 of them thanks to complete lack of quality .
