Toshiba UK denies rumour over Xbox 360 HD DVD
As with some of the rumours spread about upcoming Microsoft's products, this recent one Smarthouse released is beginning to look untrue going by this Stuff TV report. The Australian website claims to have had an interview with a senior Toshiba executive, but going by this Stuff.tv article, a Toshiba UK spokesperson told the gadget website Stuff.tv that Toshiba is not working on a Xbox 360 HD DVD since it is not a Toshiba product.
It seems like the only way to determine whether or not Microsoft is really planning on releasing an Xbox 360 with built-in HD DVD support is to wait and see if an official announcement ever gets published by Microsoft or at least Toshiba in the case of this rumour.

It's not really a denial. They simply said "no comment".

"No comment"? It looks more than a "no comment" to me: "‘It’s got nothing to do with us. But we know Microsoft doesn’t want to include the HD DVD drive so as not to limit the user’s experience.’"
