Toshiba and Panasonic double OLED lifespan

Toshiba and Panasonic announce a new technology that doubles the life of OLED displays. Its low power consumption and ultra-high contrast achievements have always been known as the product's plusses.

OLED's short lifespan was a problem from the beginning, but is now fought by Toshiba and Panasonic. The trick is a new metal membrane inside a prototype 20.8-inch panel to move light more efficiently.

We are curious what this will do...

DukeNukemYeah, but there won't be laser 22" monitors. I'm looking forward to getting a sweet OLED monitor. Can't wait.
