According to Japancorp.net is Toshiba releasing
a DVD/Hard disk video recorder on the first of October in Japan. The device will
write recording to a DVD-R (4x), DVD-RW (2x) or DVD-RAM disc or to the
internal hard disk of 160 GB.
The new recorder can record up to 208 hours of video on the disk.
The personal video recorder features Toshiba's 4x DVD-R-enabled DVD Multi
drive that supports DVD-RAM, DVD-R, and DVD-RW formats.

Engine incorporates newly designed hardware and software architecture to
enable users to playback and edit recorded video during high-speed dubbing
and recording operations. The product also offers 24x disk-to-DVD-R
recording capability. |
A price has not been announced, neither if it will
