Vacuum tube amplifier for iPod

I don't know what to think of this. Audiophiles I suppose, like to have these fancy amps that use old fashioned vacuum tubes, yet they might cringe at this. To strap an iPod on top of such a system is giving me a headache, trying to figure out if this is a good idea or not, since I am by no means an audiophile. At any rate...it's unique! This story is from Akihabara News, who have apparently performed the English translation from the Japanese site, Thanko.

If you were looking for the ultimate amplifier for your iPOD, search no more, Thanko has THE solution for you with their Vacuum tube amplifier for iPOD... Here we have 2 Philips "6922" with a frequency of 20Hz-30kHz, 80dB and with 12x2W, this in a body of 295x130x68mmb for 650g only.

ghetocowboyIPOD is a kiddy toy and dont know why they invented a tube amp for it. And the audio quality from an ipod is not as good as original CD being output from dual or quad burr brown chip DAC. Such a waste of money on it

r_saotomeAh geez, another one... There's like 3-5 new iPod systems like this every month, most of which are just terrible & severly overpriced. btw, can anyone tell me when the last time, Klipsch, Logitech or any other company has released 5.1 &/or 7.1 speakers for the computer?
