What's the first thing that comes to your mind when you hear the brand name "Yamaha"? Motorcycles? No? Keyboards? Yamaha makes a lot of cool stuff, but this time we stick to their 8x4x24 Internal EIDE CDRW drive.

"It has an 8x Write speed, which equates to 1.2Megabytes per second and a 4x ReWrite speed, which is 600Kilobytes per second. This drive is also equipped with a 4MB buffer, which will prevent just about any buffer underrun."

A little late with this one...but maybe someone still wants to have a look at it.

PLEXTOR ULTRA SCSI 12/10/32 looks to be a clear winner, sorry YAMAHA, maybe next time.
