CD/ DVD Ripping

Ripping:

In this test we will rip both a CD and a DVD. The CD will be an audio CD and the DVD will be a movie.

CD

The next test we will go through is the one for CD Ripping.

A CD audio disc was taken with 493 MEG of audio data (14 tracks). The ND-3500AG was used as the ripping drive.

The task completed in 2 minutes 16 Seconds and the default MP3 compression was used (320kbits per second).

After the ripping process was completed, I listened to several of the tracks. The quality was excellent.

DVD

The next test we will go through is the one for DVD Ripping.

A full data disc previously created with NERO CD Speed was used for this test.

The reading drive chosen for this test was the NEC ND-3500AG. This drive is capable of reading a DVD-ROM at 16X

An image file was created on the hard drive in 5 minutes 3 seconds. The subsequent image was burned to a blank DVD and tested for readability. It passed with flying colours.

Now lets take alook at HighMAT CD reation.
