Conclusion
We end up with pretty much the same comments in all sections concerning operational features. I consider the remote the weakest link with this player together with the options missing that are important like GoTo, external subs on MKV, Audio Settings that prevent us from changing analogue and digital output too many times and so on.
All the rest (given our network issues are not taking bigger proportions over time) is fine though more immature than others at the moment, but nothing that can‟t be dealt with in few months time. Conceptronic is working on firmware updates of which several have been released during the write-up of this review.
The price targeted at €229 is OK with me if, and only if, the firmware is lifted to a more mature level and Conceptronic promises never to release such a remote again where half the features are added after the remote has been designed! This can be done so much better, even in Asia where this player is actually coming from (or at least the firmware).
As a brand, Conceptronic strikes me as willing to achieve something in this region of the market for beginners, but it will require some deep thoughts before releasing players to compete with NMT‟s and Korean models such as Hantech (IAMM) and TViX for advanced users. In some ways the Conceptronic is too easy in settings and operations and sometimes it is too easy because it does not offer features we need. The fact that all of the network configuration is pretty much automatic might mean you get stuck in using it, as there is no way to do anything custom except for entering network details. Adding this option might prevent annoying issues.
For people without any PC knowledge, this might be a fit but there are more brands that play with the “easy” approach using outdated chips. For that I do consider Conceptronic amongst the best in the “mid range”. Against raw power and more advanced features like on NMT‟s and TViX, the CFULLHDMA is a little brother. It‟s not a “killer” as some might have hoped and targets PC users more than media fans… That‟s the feeling I have… As far as the Grab „n‟ Go title goes, it‟s not really the player you bring along on the road due to the missing internal hard drive! It‟s just not practical to drag along a USB external drive although small formats exist which can help make it more useful in that department.
In the end, it‟s an ok player for those satisfied with a little less than the best…

The player can handle external MKV subtitles. Conceptronic also stated the Grab 'n Go collection name is not because of grabbing the player and go somewhere, but "grab your media" and "go have fun"!
As stated, during the review conceptronic issued updates and that's one of the few things we missed updating along the way...
That corrected now.
