Program Run Through

Program Run Through:

This is the main window for DVDneXtCOPY.

From here you can start new project off as well as setting up the program for your future movies.

The first thing we will take a look at will be the settings.

In the settings tab you can set up various aspects of the program.

Basic things such as setting your default burner and burning speed can be done here. Other things such as where to store your projects and temporary files.

The other main tab to check out is the profile tab. This is here so that you can set up different settings depending on what you want to do with your movies.

You can set a profile up for the best settings to use with your backed up DVD movies and then a second for other less important jobs that need to be done quicker at a lower quality setting.

Now it’s time to create a new project. This is done by clicking on the New button on the main window.

From here you can select a Source drive, an ISO file or from a ripped DVD that you have on your hard drive. Other options you can change are the Project Name, Disk Size and Quality settings.

If you don’t want to burn your movie to a disk then you also have the option for save the file to your hard drive as an ISO file for later.

If you insert a DVD with copy protection on it then you will have to use a 3rd party application to remove the copy protection on it. The following two windows will come up telling you this.

DVDneXtCOPY has been designed without the ability to remove copy protections. This is due to the laws in many countries that deem the removal of copy protections from a disk to be illegal.

Once you have selected your movie, in this case The DaVinci Code ISO, you will be taken to the following page.

Here you can select what parts of the DVD you want. This includes which Video Title Set, Audio Channels and Subtitles. By doing this if your DVD was just over the 4.7Gb limit of a single layer DVD then by removing some stuff you could fit everything onto it without having to lose any quality in the movie. The same goes if you just want to take off a couple of episodes from a TV show.

If you are not 100% sure what you want to remove here or are not sure what you can remove without effecting your movie you can click onto a Video Title Set and then the audio files under it an play it in the preview window. This way you can remove everything that you don’t personally want.

Once you have selected exactly what you want to keep by ticking or unticking the boxes it is finally time to start off the process.

This is the recoding window. The will show various information on the FPS, percentage completed and how much space it will take up.

At the bottom is a preview of what is happening. This can be disabled in the settings window.

Once the recoding has happened you will be taken to the Burner window. Here you have the option of selecting a different burner, disc label and various other options. One of the mains ones is if you want to create a Video DVD which is compatible with DVD players or a computer only DVD.

If you are using a DVD-RW then you can also select the option to Erase it here.

The final window is the burn window. Here you will be shown what is happening along with the time left to burn your new disc.

Once the disc has turned completely too green your new DVD movie will be completed.

That’s it. You should now have a completed DVD movie disc.

Now time to Test the program out.

Not being able to FF above 2x may have been because of the DVD writer/Media combination. Not the program itself.

One way to fin out is to try a different media and or writer combination and see what happens.

Nice review.
Yes very nice review and thank you for taking the time to do so as well. I agree on the above poster to as I have no issues on this. I do know you used good media or assume so. :B
