We tested the discs in several drives, and some could not read the disc. It worked fine in all drives that support the DVD-R DL format of course, but else where it seems to be hit and miss.
Standalone Compatibilities:
We have 4 standalone DVD-Players available and 1 standalone DVD+R/W recorder to test the DVD-R9 DL media (Book Type: DVD-R):
- Aiwa DVD Player XD-DV370
- Denver DVD-Player
- Medion DVD/Div-X Player MD7457
- Red Star DVD-Player 230G
- Mustek R100A DVD+R/W Recorder

One out of five standalone devices could playback the DVD-R DL media perfectly with the Video content. So we believe the compatibilities speak for themselves.
