Positive:
- Supports DVD±R/±R DL writing at 16x/8x
- Supports DVD+RW/DVD-RW writing at 8x/6x *
- Supports CD-RW writing at 32x
- Supports bitsetting on DVD+R DL media (sets auto. booktype to DVD-ROM)
- Reads DVD-Video SL/DL at 16x/12x
- Can read DVD-RAM discs
* DVD+RW at 8x was not accomplished
Negative:
- Does not support Mt. Rainier
- Reads CD-DA/CD-R/RW only at 40x/40x/32x
- Reads DVD±R/±RW/±R DL only at 12x/8x/8x
- Green LED for both reading and writing
- No support for DVD+RW 8x media with RiTEK/MKM MID (with the current firmware)
Conclusion:
To sum it all up, this is what we would say: 'Even though the reading and CD-R writing specifications is not 'up to date" - the drive is still interesting. We would like the firmware to mature and wait for a possible future full review of this DVD-Writer, before we draw any hasty conclusion".
By using our price grabber feature cdfreaks.pricegrabber we found the drive listed at $ 54.16 and at getprice the drive is listed at 56.13 €. (11. August 2005).

Also, if Pioneer announced the 110 with the full specification and now comes with the 110D, one may question:
Is it the same material with just a disabled facility or two different drives?
Will we see the 110 in Europe?

Looks like a great drive from Pioneer, again. Please make fast a complete review of that drive.

I agree.
Also the fact that it doesn't support CD+G is a negative point in my point of view.
