DVD-R DL - Video Writing:
BenQ DW1640:

The BenQ DW 1640 refused to burn the media, and reported Write Error (030C00).
Lite-On SHOW-1693S:

The KProbe result shows us a higher PIF's on the second layer.
Philips DVDR1648:

Like the BenQ DW1640, the Philips DVDR1648 also refused to burn the media and reported Write Error (030C00).
Pioneer DVDR-110D:

The Pioneer DVR-110D only wanted to write this 4x certified media at max 2x with firmware v1.17. The KProbe scan shows us a higher PI and PIF error rate on the second layer.
On the next page we are going to test the compatibility…..

Does anyone know the pricing of these discs, are they available in bulk (like a 25-100 spindle)?

You used the NEC 3540a to read back the disc's, but why didn't you use it to write the media?
I have a NEC 3540a myself and would like to see how it performs with the DVD-R DL media.

The 3540A does not support writing on this media. I guess this is the reason.
