Womble reported to us that on a the Slysoft Forums there is now a special forum dedicated to GameJackal. Game Jackal was a popular CD & DVD emulation suite that allows users to play copy protected games from their hard disk without having to load a disc each time one wants to play a game. Game jackal v2.8 was the last version available, which was their first multilingual version.
In January the software was pulled from the internet leaving a message saying no more than: 'We regretfully announce that due to circumstances beyond our control, we are unable to continue selling Game Jackal.'
A posting by a Slysoft employee indicates that Slysoft has something to report about this: 'An official press release will be published within the next few days, so please be patient...'
While this was in the beginning of February and no press release has been issued yet, the company has added a dedicated GameJackal forum to their forums which indicate some kind of connection is there.
While we're at it, Slysoft is offering discounts up to $20 on bundles of their products again. Enter 'cricket' as coupon code to be eligble. The code is valid till the 19th of March.
