Final Word

With the explosion of CD burners, DVD burners, large hard drives and now USB pen drives, having the equipment and space to make backups has never been cheaper or easier, however remembering to do them is another matter. Most people will have suffered at least one computer crash in their time either through their own fault or outside factors such as a lightening strike and will have lost data because of it. Handy Backup is the ideal program to automate these mundane but essential tasks for you so that you will never lose that valuable data again.

With this in mind I feel I can award this program the CDFreaks Safe Buy award. This award shows that this product does exactly what it says on the box and will not fail in providing you with working backups of your files to whatever medium you choose.

I agree with the review, it's a great proggy for 30$ I tested a lot of other and I love the possibility to save under muti-zip with password, this way you can't loose the whole backup if corruption occur. :g

I have bought this program a few week's ago, I am 100% satisfied with it and I recomend it!

www.handybackup.net - software for backup to dvd :)
Yep, I never actually worried about all this backup software, but some time ago I decided to back up my photo archive to DVD. I had a plan to test several backup utilities, and as it came to Handy Backup, I surprisingly found out that there are DIFFERENT Handy Backups in the Net.

It took some time for me to figure out that the one I downloaded from handybackup.dotcom (Handy Backup 4.0) seems to be simply one of the earlier versions of HB 5.7 - the one at handybackup.net. Its interface is more complicated and its feature set is noticeably worse than those of Handy Backup 5.7 (by the way, it's available for download at numerous websites created for different languages speakers: handybackup.fr, haendybackup.de, handybackup.ru, etc. - I found this fact quite funny and cute:)) It can backup to dvd (http://www.handybackup.net/backup-to-dvd.shtml), and what about the other features I especially liked the ability to make online backups.

Please mind this mix up, and download the newer version:)
