Introduction:
Handy
Backup is a small yet powerful program designed to allow people to automatically
back up their critical data to virtually any type of storage media or even to an
FTP server.
Other
features of this product allow you to synchronise files between two computers on
a network, to do full or incremental backups of individual files or entire
folders. With a number of add-ons
available for this product that will allow you to facilitate the backup of MS
Outlook, system registry and ICQ files, this is a program that will make sure
that you will never lose that valuable data again.
For anyone who has important documents on a computer that you
can't afford to lose but with a tendency not to make the backups when they
should be done, this is a program that will do everything you need it to do and
more. One factor that makes this program stand out against many other products
in this area is the ability to automate backups to different mediums as well as
to FTP servers along with the ability to compress or encrypt backups. All of
these things makes this a top notch
program.

It took some time for me to figure out that the one I downloaded from handybackup.dotcom (Handy Backup 4.0) seems to be simply one of the earlier versions of HB 5.7 - the one at handybackup.net. Its interface is more complicated and its feature set is noticeably worse than those of Handy Backup 5.7 (by the way, it's available for download at numerous websites created for different languages speakers: handybackup.fr, haendybackup.de, handybackup.ru, etc. - I found this fact quite funny and cute
) It can backup to dvd (http://www.handybackup.net/backup-to-dvd.shtml), and what about the other features I especially liked the ability to make online backups.
Please mind this mix up, and download the newer version
