During testing of this software, a few positive and negative points came up:

Positives:

• Very easy to use and sleek
• Good quality backups created
• Includes skins to customise the software look
• Fast ripping

Negatives:

• Only backs up CSS encrypted titles, newer protections will need additional software
• No way to disable video preview whilst ripping
• No ability to set disc write speed

Conclusion:

DVD Copy Express is easy to use and the settings and options are easy to find. Very sleek looking with additional skins included.

However there are other software that will do the same thing and more, and the fact that it only backs up CSS encrypted discs is a little disappointing, as you will need additional software to deal with the latest protections. Ability to set disc write speed would have been greatly appreciated too.

Nevertheless, the software does exactly as advertised, and as such does a good job.

To sum it all up, this is what we would say: “A good starter software that is easy to use and looks good, with quality backups produced. We feel some improvements could be made however, before it truly has its place amongst more popular software.”
