DVD+R DL writing performance

DVD+R DL :

Near the layer-break, Nero CD-DVD Speed reported a Power Calibration Area Error.

The Lite-On SLW-831SX uses CLV, (Constant Linear Velocity) to write DVD+R DL at 2.4x. This gives an average writing speed of 2.44x, and a writing time of 44 minutes and 14 seconds.

Despite that the KProbe scan shows high PIF errors on the 1st layer, the disk was still readable.

Verbatim 2.4x DVD+R DL, gives an average writing speed of 2.44x, and a writing time of 44 minutes and 26 seconds.

From the KProbe scan we can see that there are some high PIF errors at the layerbreak, but that did not affect the readback curve.
