PI levels are good and the disc is fully readable at 16X with almost no problems. We also burned a DVD Video disc at 16X with this media and had no trouble playing back the disc in our standalone players. Recommended.

Ouch! This drive has major issues with this media. The resulting disc was not even readable in the Mad Dog drive. We tested 4 different discs and all of them resulted with problems. The MD-16XDVD9 even dropped the write speed to 4X on some of our test burns. Next we also tested a different brand of CMCMAGAE1.

Very interesting! The Mad Dog drive did very well with the Teon brand CMCMAGAE1. There was a small drop in speed near the end of the reading curve, but overall results look good!

Impressive! Perfect Kprobe results on this lower quality media. The transfer rate read test has problems at 4GB, but this behavior occurs with all of these discs and it is not the fault of the writer.
