The software part II

The software (part II):

Before we can fully test everything we must adjust the system to its optimal settings. The first item on the preference menu we encounter is to adjust the printer to the optimal settings...

The selection of media type is not necessarily here since it gives automatically CD as media type...

The next adjustment can be significant in the printing result. If you really want the maximum performance for a graphic on CD you should go for Super Photo 2400 which indicates here that the final print will be with a resolution of 2400 DPI, that is double of the amount the older Signature IV can handle.

The last option is very importatant before starting with any printing job. This options let you calibrate your printer and center the images onto the CD. And indeed I was impressed.

I found one of the best calibration utilities around. Easy and simple to use, yet very effective...

After making the 'centering print' test we had to give some coordinates of the testprint and the util calculated the right offset for the printer and stored it. By doing this we don't have to center the printer every time...

The printerdriver was fully written by Primera itself and it showed version V1.0.1
