In these tests we will be using a Lite-On LH-20A1P with firmware KL0G along with K-Probe to measure the disc quality. We will also be using an Optiarc AD-7173A along with CD-Speed for our read-back tests.

PI errors are fairly high throughout the disc and there are worrying PIF clusters at a couple of points in the disc, the most worrying at the end of the disc where it also shows as a minor slowdown in our read-back test. The result is ok but could be better with this very high quality media.

Does anyone know the internal laptop drive model that this is based on (or the equivilent internal model)? It looks like it's pretty good for an slimline drive.

Hi Adeon,

The model should be SE-T084L. This is still our current model of external slim DVD writer. The specs are the same as those found on notebook drives.
