Slysoft offers current customers discount before Vista upgrade

Slysoft has informed us that current versions of AnyDVD, CloneDVD, CloneDVD mobile and CloneCD are providing 100% compatibility to both Windows Vista and
Windows Vista 64. Effective January 1st 2007, the new AnyDVD single license price is USD 49.00. The increase in price is, according to the company, due to significant development expenses in adapting Windows Vista.

To relieve their common customers from the markup they currently offer a special Windows Vista discount, with  the promotion code: vista.

The coupon will be valid until January 15th 2007.

Please note that the coupon has different values, depending
on what you are purchasing:

single license 5.00 US$
2 license bundle 10.00 US$
3 license bundle 15.00 US$
4 license bundle 20.00 US$

Example: the new regular price of the 3 license bundle "AnyDVD + CloneDVD + CloneCD" is 85.00 US$. After using the coupon the remaining amount will be 70.00 US$. The big bundle with all 4 products is 79$ instead of 99$.

For more information, (trial) downloads and the ability to purchase the software right now, go to the Slysoft Website.

Curious, why would a current customer want to upgrade when AnyDVD offered lifetime upgrades? Did I miss some fine print or something with that statement? Don't get me wrong, AnyDVD is a great product, but I am not sure I understand the title of the article.
It would seem to be for 'new' customers.

It appears they will charge more for AnyDVD once Vista is out, and this way people can still get the old price.

Well, thats how I read it :p
