Let’s start by taking a brief look at Ulead DVD MovieFactory 5 Plus functions.

Once the application launcher started, the default screen shows the main window with Video Disc function. In this window we can see options to start New Project, Open Existing Project, Straight Capture to Disc, Straight Capture to BD Disc, Burn from Disc Image and Burn DVD Folders to Disc. There are also 5 buttons on the bottom window which we will cover them later in this review.

The second function is Slideshow Disc where you can add photos and interactive menu to create a slideshow video disc.

The next function is Audio/Data Disc where you can add audio files as tracks to create an MP3 disc, Audio CD, DVD Audio, Music DVD Video and Data disc.

The fourth function is Import where you can import from DVD or capture content from devices to create a video disc.

The fifth function is Edit Disc where you can add, remove, or replace files on existing CD, DVD, or BD disc.

The next function is Copy Disc where you can make a disc copy, convert DVD±VR to DVD-Video.

The last function is Disc Tools to format, erase, or finalize your disc. You can also create a bootable disc with this function.

As mentioned before, on the bottom window there are 5 additional icons from left to right: Preference, Get disc information, Get drive information, Design a personalized disc label, or case cover and print it for your disc, and Open DVDCopy 4 Silver to create copies of your DVD discs in just three steps.

Let’s start with the preferences; here you will be able to change your working folder to a drive where you have plenty of space for the projects you will be working on.

Next we have buttons for Disc Information and Drive Information, where we can select the burner to use and see media information.

The Printer Icon takes you to the Ulead Label@once Label and CD/DVD Printing application, we will touch more on this later in the review.

Next button takes you to Intervideo DVD Copy 4 Silver where you can copy DVD discs in just a few steps.

On the next page we will take a look at the Video Disc function.

:)

I always wanted the Conclusion page to be the first. Saves time.

Thanks for that CDFreaks.com

This change is welcome.
This is a pretty good review-- I can tell the software seems much more usable than previous versions. But could you compare it to other programs? Is it better than Nero, for instance?
