It's very slow...from divx 700mb to dvd 1h,50min.....the best is WinAVI Video Converter...;)

bye herny
I found the output DVD to be too blocky to be honest. This was when I converted an Xvid movie to DVD. Perhaps its just Xvid inputs that the quality is low on. /shrug
I too found the output too blocky. I believe this is related to the fact that you can't set the output resolution, (DVD standard allows 3 resolutions).

Of the programs I've played with only DVDSanta allows you to specify the resolution.
humm reviews like this makes me wonder about others I read....
This software is one of the worst of its kind. I've tested more than 10.

My rank:
6.5/10 - output quality
3/10 - smoth playback (23.976 > 25fps sucks)
9/10 - easy to work

It have good potencial if they correct the smoth problem in all conversions I've made ntsc > pal (every second looks like is missing frames) and If the output quality gets a little better.
winavi and dvdsanta are not better than this program (they are faster but not better) and they dont suport selectable subtitles. Just google a little and you will find FREE better programs that will do all this with better quality. they are difficult to learn in the down side.
just my 2cents..
I use this program with TV rips and it only works with a few rippers. Shows by LOL do work. All others do not (TVL, UMD, CTU). I am sure it is a combination of people not ripping correctly and the program not figuring out to handle various differences. The TV rips do play fine on the computer pre-divx-to-dvd.
seems slow, and also seems to set the bitrate VERY low, resulting in the blockiness a few posters above have reported. It results in files 1 GB for 1 hour of movie, or thereabouts. I feel dvdsanta does a better job, simply by allocating more bitrate to the resultant vobs, but it does seem to work. If you really want the qual its better to use CCE
This program does not give me option to take away any boarders from the movie, and is quit slow to convert, I have moved to WINAVI, much faster and gives a lot more control over your final frame size and shape. Sorry but WinAVI does it for me.
