Program Run Through:

This is the first screen on VSO PhotoDVD. From here you can add your pictures, music and setup how you want the slideshow to work.

The first thing to do is to check out the Options. Here you can setup how you want your slideshow to look. These are global settings that will be imported onto each of your images in the slideshow. You can individually setup what happens to your pictures later on.

The other tab which is very important is the DVD Format one. This one will setup how the DVD will play back in a DVD player. It is very important to set this up to the correct settings before burning your DVD.

The next thing to do is to add the pictures that you want to create your slideshow from. To do this a simple right click in the main window will bring up the following menu for you to use.

I choose the add files option. This option allows you to add specific files from a directory. You can also add the entire directory if out have previously sorted them out.

Once the program has added the images in you can play with them a little by clicking the Magnifying glass at the bottom. This is the Additional Editing button.

In this screen you can select a picture and adjust what happens with it. You can select if you want to Zoon In or Out, the Transition to the next picture and the duration of how long the picture stays on the screen.

There are additional option to rotate your picture, have it in Black and White, to add subtitles to it and a few other things.

As you can see on the subtitles bar there are three numbers. This is so you can setup three different languages for your DVD which can be selected once put into a DVD player.

Here I have added some subtitles and played around with the options available to me.

Once back in the main program and once you are happy with the setting for your images it is time to add some music to the DVD. This is done by clicking onto the next button and going to the following screen.

Once again to add your music you need to right click in the main window and select the music you want to add.

Here because my images will last 7:35 and the music I have added will last 12:32 the audio will be cut down to fit the images.

The final main screen is this one. Here you can decide on your output format, target device or hard drive and your volume label.

Once you are happy with the setting hit the next button to begin the burn or if you have decided to make an image file a summary will come up.

Here is the summary of what I have chosen to do.

The program will now go through and create the slideshow. Once done it will be stored as an image file or burnt to disk.

The final window is a complete summary for everything that has happened.

And that’s it. You should now have a working slideshow on your burnt DVD ready to play.

There is one final option that you can use in PhotoDVD. It is the Label Edition. This is a small program that will allow you to print onto your DVD if you have the hardware and media to do so.
