Positives and Negatives:

While using this program a number of points both positive and negative came up. These are listed below for easy reference.

Positives:

• Easy to use
• Compliant with NTSC and PAL DVD players
• Massive amount of image and music formats supported

Negatives:

• Lack of Animation features
• No menu system for multiple slideshows

Conclusion:

This is a simply and easy program to use. It will allow you to add images and music and create a lovely DVD that you can give out to your friends of your holiday or precious moments of your new born child.

Looking back to the original statement made by VSO

A wizard style interface lets you define the folders or files where to select the pictures. You can define multiple lists of music files to play in the background, and add up to 3 channels of DVD subtitles. The transitions and animations of your pictures are completely automatic and will enhance the experience of sharing your best memories.

I think that we can agree that it certainly achieves that. However I feel that there is a little lacking in the program. I have used other slideshow creators that allow you to put multiply slideshow onto a disc with a menu system so that you can make up a montage of “moments”. With the size of a DVD you can easily put a thousand high quality images onto on disk. I would personnel like to break that up into separate shows rather than having to sit through them all or having to find the pictures that you wanted to show someone

Final Word:

All in all it’s a good program but I feel that it needs some work done to it to compete with the other slideshow makers out there.

The program did produce some good DVDs However the lack of options available just give you the feeling that this program is missing that final lustre that is needed at this level and that most VSO Software program normally come with.

It is still a good program but I think a little more is needed before it becomes the must have slideshow making program.
