In order to provide you with the latest news on digital storage, eight of our servers are providing the content you are looking for.
The CD Freaks.com server cluster is split up in 2 back-end servers, and a webserverfarm of 6 servers.

Failover back-end
The shared file-system, used for accessing thousands of web-sites per second, is set up with the ability to fail over to the other back-end server in case of failure. The MySQL database server is also able to fail over to the other server, providing high availability to the back-end system of the cluster.
Load-Balancing front-end
Two of the front-end servers are enabled to serve as fail-over load balancers. In case one of the load-balancers fails, the other server takes over the load balancing capabilities of the other server. Both of the load balancers spread the high loads over the front-end servers, including themselves.

VirtualConcepts is specialized in designing, implementing and maintaining Linux clusters. The use of multiple servers in a high performance network can reduce the risk of hardware failures, and can improve the performance of the services that are offered to customers, such as e-mail or web sites. Therefore, the objective of these clusters is to support business processes by providing availability and scalability of services. By using open source techniques, VirtualConcepts can provide performance and reliability, that is cost efficient and meets current business needs.
