Freeware: This Windows utility will flash most Mediatek-chip based ATAPI drives. It supports all single-file firmware in BIN and HEX format. Which drives can it flash? All drives that Mtkflash can do, namely, any ATAPI drive which is based on Mediatek chipset. These are: All JLMS/LITEON DVD-ROM drives and most LITEON CDRW drives, including their OEM's and rebadged. Then there are many drives from SONY, MEMOREX, LG, TDK, BTC, and from other makers as well.
